Van’s Garage, located just off Interstate I-81 at the 235 milemarker, has been repairing cars and trucks for 50 years. A family business, they will tell you straight up what is wrong, what it will take to fix, and whatever options you have.
Boyd VanPelt started fixing cars in high school in the sixties. He was called away to serve honorably in the Army in Vietnam, returning to start Van’s Garage in January of 1971. As his family grew, his sons John and Stephen, have come to work with him.
Since the beginning, Van has worked to provide “Better service at a fair price” to his customers. He maintains a healthy business, mostly by word of mouth.
Vans does State Inspections, computer diagnostics, fixes Check Engine lights, and does major and minor repairs: transmissions, tune-ups, engine replacement, brake tune-ups and replacements, and refinishing broken rotors. They are a Jasper engine and transmission authorized dealer.
